I sat besides her, this bleary Sunday morning, as she typed her very first blog.
A day earlier, on the ski lift, I gently prodded her, "L'il girl, can you start thinking about what you are going to write?". Between catching snowflakes on her tongue, she said, "Papa, I do not want to. I will write it when I write it".
It took took her all of 25 minutes to type the 29 words. She did not take any of my feedback ("Rhea, you were not exactly plummeting" "Are you sure you need an exclamation mark after oh?"). Just typed it out, and looked at me as if saying, "Now send it to the world".
Books on children need to add this to the list of milestones.
The accompanying video is over 2 minutes and 18 seconds- certainly 90 seconds too long. Just this one time. To go with unedited text.

That was smooth! In more ways than one :)
As for writing, at this point you should write exactly what Papi says. Then sit with him at length and edit each detail. He may not see the nuances right away. That's alright, he'll get there eventually ;)
